How to Prepare Aloe Gel: Natural, Proven Way to Reduce Wrinkles, Clean and Protect Your Skin

Aloe Vera is a gift of the nature that has a lot of healing properties. It is known to be extremely effective in sunburn. And do you know that with the help of this gel found in the herb you can also reduce wrinkles?

According to a research made by a famous scientist from Asia, “by using a small amount of aloe vera gel daily, you can significantly improve the elasticity of your skin and reduce wrinkles.”

In their study, 30 healthy women were involved, older than 45, who were using the gel for 90 days. After the treatment, there was big change, and their wrinkles were visibly reduced and the elasticity of the skin was improved.

How can you prepare your own aloe gel?

You can prepare the gel by yourself. All you need is a healthy Aloe Vera plant (Aloe Barbadensis)

  1. Wash your hands

It is important to start the work with clean hands. Also, use clean utensils to prepare it, so the gel won’t contaminate.

  1. Cut one of the outer leaves ( the outer leaves are riper)

There will be enough fresh and healthy gel. Because the aloe gel can’t stay for long time, it is the best that you prepare smaller amounts, a leaf or two, especially if they are larger, it will be enough for half a cup or a cup of the gel. If you have a young plant, be careful that you don’t cut off too many leaves at once.

  1. Squeeze the juice for 10 minutes

Put the leaves vertically in a cup and let the juice runs out. The juice contains latex that can be irritating for the skin, so the best way is to do this.

  1. Peel the leaves

The best way is to take a vegetable peeler and to remove the outer part of the leaf. Peel it carefully until you reach the gel located in the center of the leaf.

  1. Take a small spoon and get the gel

The transparent soft gel can be easily separated with a spoon from the leaf. Take as much as you can get and put it in a clean container.

  1. You can mix the gel with some of the natural preservatives such as vitamin C

If you got more gel than you need, you can still keep it for a month or two, if you mix it with 500 mg of vitamin C for every ¼ cup, or you should just add a few drops of oil with vitamin E. The ingredients can be mixed with a blender too.

  1. Transfer the gel into a sterilized, clean glass container

If you have used some of the additives for food storage, you can keep the gel for a month or two in a fridge, and without those additives, the gel can be used only for a week.

  1. Use the gel

You can use the gel for sunburns, but as a moisturizer too. Also, you can prepare other domestic healing preparations, and it is the best to use the gel for irritations on the surface of the skin. If you mix ½ cup of aloe with ¼ cup melted coconut oil, you’ll get a healing, moisturizing massage lotion.

How can the gel be used for reducing wrinkles?

Here is a simple procedure for this purpose.

Rub some gel directly on the skin. Do it gently, for about 3 minutes. You can also add one capsule of vitamin E in one tablespoon gel. Mix it well and use it to massage the area where the wrinkles have appeared. Make this massage regularly every night before bedtime, and you’ll notice some improvement after few days.
