Doctors Warn Women: STOP Wearing Bras! The Reasons Are THESE…

There are many different clams about wearing bras lately. It is confusing because we read that bras cause sagging, and on the other hand they prevent sagging. There are claims that bras can cause breast cancer also, so these claims are very confusing for women.

But anyway, it is undeniable the importance of bras as supporting device for large-sized breasts. These women can’t imagine living without bras, because if they don’t wear them they can feel discomfort and back pain.

Women should know that not all bra types are beneficial and they should pick the right one in order not to put themselves at risk of some serious health issues.

Why is wearing a bra bad for your health?

There was a study conducted, which proved that wearing bras can cause cancer. The results were grounded on how the body self-cleanses of toxins, and there was and between women who did and didn’t wear bras and the corresponding breast cancer rates.

Another study which included 4,000 women was taken by anthropologists Singer and Grismaijer, authors of the book Dressed to KillThe Link between Breast Cancer and Bras. They explained that it’s the compromised lymphatic flow caused by ill-fitting bras that actually increases the risk of breast cancer.

The findings revealed:

  • women who wore their bras 24 hours per day had a 3 out of 4 chance of developing breast cancer,
  • women who wore bras more than 12 hour per day, but not to bed, had a 1 out of 7 risk,
  • women who wore their bras less than 12 hours per day had a 1 out of 52 risk, and
  • women who wore bras rarely or never had a 1 out of 168 chance of getting breast cancer.

Another thing that was considered by Singer and Grismaijer was past bra-wearing behavior of the subjects, which is very important for a disease that takes such a long time to develop.

However, many health experts still don’t support the idea of wearing a bra, they claim that the tight fitting bra can cut off lymph drainage, which can lead to the development of breast cancer, due to the fact that the lymph function to eliminate all the toxins that enter your body on a daily basis is compromised. For example, one potentially dangerous source of toxins that can build up if your lymph drainage is impaired is aluminum from antiperspirants.

So, it is very important that the importance of MOVEMENT for the lymphatic circulation in many tissues should be understood. For instance, when you sit for a long time on an airplane flight, your feet and ankles can swell, because your lymphatic circulation falls down to almost zero. Wearing a bra might contribute to the development of breast cancer as a result of cutting off lymphatic drainage, so that toxic chemicals are trapped in the breast.

Another French study, made by Professor Jean-Denis Rouillon, promotes the idea that bras aren’t necessary for women to wear, because of the serious health implications that can bring. He also discovered that women who chose the braless option gained more natural support as their muscle tissue strengthened over time compared to women who stayed loyal to their bras. The latter had weakened muscle tissue, which is a potential risk factor that contributes to sagging. The idea they put forward was that breast cancer risk significantly increased in women who wore bra more than 12 hours a day.

Therefore, wearing a bra can affect a woman’s health in various other mechanisms, one of which is temperature. Namely, breasts are external organs that naturally have a lower temperature. Studies confirm that cancers can depend on temperature. Although breast cancer is hormone-dependent, temperature can negatively influence hormone function.

What can you do to reduce your risk?

If you want to reduce the possibility of compromising your breast health, which heavily depends on proper lymphatic drainage, consider several factors related to this piece of underwear. The degree of blockage of lymphatic drainage depends on the style of the bra, the tightness, and the length of time worn.

Owing to the fact that many women choose their bras by the latest fashion, you can avoid some of the improper drainage issues if you wear a bra that is properly fitted rather than the latest trend. Ideally, you could start trying to go braless, but you may take some time to adjust. In order to avoid the uneasiness you might feel because of your nipples showing, or the lack of breast support you’ve been used to, try wearing a tank with a built-in bra or a bandeau under your clothes. This will help you feel some of the tightness and support a bra provides.

Last, but not least, it’s important to understand that your health heavily depends on the choices you make. If you know that staying away from you bra will distance you from breast cancer, it’s definitely worth trying!
